This is our most asked question. Lead times for wood products depend on the product ordered and the type of wood ordered. Many, but not all, Red Oak, Poplar, and Hard Maple products are in stock and ship in just a day or two. Some products and all other wood species require a 3 week manufacturing time. Please do not assume that any product is in stock and will ship immediately. If you need your stair materials to ship fast, please call us to confirm inventory and provide an estimated ship date before you place your order.
Are your wood products finished or unfinished?
All our wood products are sanded and ready for finishing, but unfinished. Wood poplar balusters are offered primed white, but a finish coat of paint will need to be applied. Large orders of newel posts and handrail are available primed white by quotation.
Yes. We can change heights, widths, lengths, and profiles anyway you like. Please contact us for a quote on the custom changes you require.
Yes. Not only do we offer other options such as: Lyptus, Cumaru, Ipe, Tigerwood, Douglas Fir, and White Pine, you can provide your own lumber if we don’t have access to it.
No. LJ Smith is one of our competitors. Stair-Parts.com have some of the same or similar industry standard part numbers as other stair parts sellers. We meet or exceed standards required by Architects and Designers for these parts. We are proud to be a superior quality, low cost alternative. Example: our handrails do not have finger joints.
Do you offer exterior stair parts?
Yes. White Oak and African Mahogany are the two standard wood species we offer that hold up well outside. However, they must be manufactured with exterior grade glue, which costs an additional 30%.
Wood products are not returnable. There are no exceptions. Iron products are returnable with a 25% restocking fee. You are responsible for the return shipping costs.
