Basket Twist Series
The basket twist iron baluster series offers an enormous range of design possibilities. The scroll series is frequently mixed in with basket and twist metal balusters.
Wood Stair Treads
Wood stair treads are offered in a standard 1-1/32″ finished thickness after surfacing and sanding. Extra thick hardwood stair treads for open rise staircases are available in any thickness. The most popular over sized wood tread sizes are 1-3/4″ and 2″ thick. We have produced treads as thick as 4″. Any stair tread thicker than 1-3/4″ will require face glue lamination(s) to meet the desired finished dimension.
Handrail Fittings
Our complete selection of hardwood handrail fittings and stair goose necks can be modified custom to suit your needs by quotation. All handrail fittings include the appropriate number of rail bolt kits and a 1 inch flush plug. For example: a volute has one connection to a handrail, so one rail bolt kit is included. Likewise, a quarter turn or up easing has two handrail connections and includes two rail bolt kits per fitting ordered. There is no need to order rail bolts and flush plugs in the accessories section when ordering wood handrail fittings.

Wood Newel Posts
Wood newel posts are turned on a lathe from a hardwood square blank and then sanded smooth. All wood newel posts and wood balusters are available with the bottom square base block turned round.
Any of our wood newel post profiles can be made larger, up to 5-1/2″ wide, by custom order. Custom wood turnings, columns, and historical reproductions are available by quotation.

Bending Wood Handrail 9100
9100 bending handrail is for curved wood stairs and arched balcony railings. This rail is bendable to a maximum of a 4 foot radius. This bending rail profile is frequently referred to as the California wood code rail. The 9100 bending handrail profile has no finger joints. Made in the USA.
