This staircase uses straight wooden handrails with transition fittings, that are cut on a 5 axis router to bend the handrail into one continuous piece! Handrail Fittings
Our complete selection of hardwood handrail fittings and stair goose necks can be modified custom to suit your needs by quotation. All handrail fittings include the appropriate number of rail bolt kits and a 1 inch flush plug. For example: a volute has one connection to a handrail, so one rail bolt kit is included. Likewise, a quarter turn or up easing has two handrail connections and includes two rail bolt kits per fitting ordered. There is no need to order rail bolts and flush plugs in the accessories section when ordering wood handrail fittings.

Wood Stair Treads
Wood stair treads are offered in a standard 1-1/32″ finished thickness after surfacing and sanding. Extra thick hardwood stair treads for open rise staircases are available in any thickness. The most popular over sized wood tread sizes are 1-3/4″ and 2″ thick. We have produced treads as thick as 4″. Any stair tread thicker than 1-3/4″ will require face glue lamination(s) to meet the desired finished dimension.
